I Was A Little girl When I Made Mistakes But God Changed My Story”- Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage the first lady of Mavin Records during her Ugandan tour, visited one of the school’s there Mariam High School Kampala. The heavily pregnant Tiwa Savage made serious efforts to encourage and speak sense to teenage girls on the issue of Unwanted Pregnancies and abortions. While addressing the issue, the Singer also revealed how tough it was for her to make it and life was not all that pleasant to her as well..check it out below.

On music: “From young age, i had always wanted to be a singer but my parents insisted that i went to school. My parents wanted me to be a lawyer, engineer, doctor etc. So after i got a first degree in Business Administration, i decided to do music but my parents still insisted on me going the university. I would tell them ‘but Beyonce didn’t go to the university, Rihanna didn’t, so why should i?’ and they would say, this is Africa. So i went back to get a second degree in music.” On early sex I have some mistakes in my life but the beautiful thing about making a mistake is that you have to dust yourself and get up. Having unprotected sex can give you sexually transmitted diseases that there is no cure for. I was a little girl like you when i made mistakes too but God changed my story and if he can do it for me, trust me, trust him he can do it for you too. Life is about planning ahead, so if you as a young person do not plan for parenthood, you will always be dependent on other people and unable to break out of the cycle of poverty. It is not good to keep on being helpless – we have to take responsibility for our lives.”
